Our founder spent 20+ years working ‘behind the chair’ while also running a salon. During that time she saw countless heads of hair, and heard even more stories about the frustration that fine-haired people have with hair products.

Mara Jade products are carefully formulated to give your fine hair the volume, lustre, and hydration it deserves. And they’re available because our founder saw a problem that was in serious need of a solution.
Not only because my ponytail is the size of my pinky. But because I’m a Master Stylist with clientele full of fine-haired people like you and me.
People who all seem to be looking for that elusive ‘right product’.
I have worked with SOOO many brands over the years trying to crack this nut. But I always felt like there was something missing.
Too heavy, too light, too stinky, too oily... Always just too... something!
But those who know me know I don’t give up easily.
If you want something done right, sometimes you have to do it yourself. Even if that means stubbornly creating a product line for fine-haired people.
Not all fine hair is the same density, so it had to work whether low-density (like my pinky-thick ponytail) or mid/high-density (like my daughter’s quarter-thick ponytail).
The products had to be carefully pH-balanced, with a range of 4.5 to 5.5 in order to help reduce colour fade, breakage, split ends, and dullness.
I wouldn’t allow any kinds of filler or junk taking up space in my product: everything had to be free of sulphates and paraben.
My product had to be produced ethically and packaged responsibly. It could never be tested on animals (besides, that’s what friends are for).
I FINE-ly met those challenges with a compact line of hair products that I call Mara Jade. I hope they make your “fine-hair-dreams” come true!
